Smurf Patong!

October has been quite a happening month indeed. Shall blog the first highlight - Trip down to Phuket.

The 2nd trip once again to Patong, this time, with Buddy. After so long delaying and planning, finally we jet set after our sleeping day together... well that is the only way we could get couple of days off together..

Day One.....

After being more than 24 hours awake, and hours of traveling, we reached our destination.. Deevana Patong Resort and Spa. I gambled and tried taking this hotel though im much more comfy with Royal Paradise...

And its.. just so comfy..and cool.Service was awesome. Upon reached, we were given cool towel to refresh ourself, and there is a welcome drink...however we were just too lazy to redeem it..

Headed down to Patong area and checked out my fave thai stall.... miss my fave auntie's cooking! sadly, she doesnt recognize me as much as she recognise Squidy on her 2nd trip...

Intro Buddy to the food..and seems she really enjoyed the Tom Yam soup...

Spent the rest of the day checking out Patong Beach,and nitelife at the Bangla Street....the sea look ferocious...with the high tide.

And free fireworks everywhere....coz you can purchased the fireworks along the street...just so awesome!

Thx to the whatsapp image Squidy sent to me and direction given to me, i managed to track this auntie, whom made the best yummy street crepe..as told by Squidy. And true enuff, the Banana with Nutella crepe....is simply food orgasmic!!!!!

Day Two.....

Check out Phuket Town for the very first time. Transport using the Tuk Tuk aint cheap at all....cost me freaking 400 Baht ($20) just to go down to Phuket Town. Headed to Central Festival Market and shop a little, and checked out Thalang Road,where the area is filled with old sino portugese shophouses... too bad i cant find the almond cookies as recommended by Lonely Planet.

Spent the rest of the nite roaming the streets of Patong, and relaxing at our own private jacuzzi... and getting ready for our island hopping the very next day.

Day Three....

Island hopping! Woke up super early as we taking the feeerrrryyyy down to Phi Phi island. Once onboard the ferry.... it started to rain!! zzzz....me and island cant mixed... its always raining whenever i travel... dang.

Luckily this time, the rain decided to stop at appropriate time. After kena rain splatters, it stop when we reached Phi Phi Don... did some snorkeling..

Day Four....

UUrrgghhhh.... last day on Patong before heading back at nite. Simply just dun wanna leave the awesome island. Spent the last few hours lazing by the pool, catch the movie (haha finally i get to stand up fer the King's Anthem), did some last min shopping before catch the last flight home....

we just cant get enuff of thailand. exp myself. and we are sooo hoping to look forward for next year,where we are just gonna squeeze some time off to head down to Thailand once again... nyehehe.

Pre planning is simply headache...

My AL is ending pretty soon yet didn't have the time to blog. Spent most of the days Raya-ing,rotting at home, chilling out with my mates and hunting for good pictures. And of course, catching up on all the latest flick in the cinema.

My thumbs up for Smurfs!! Got a pair of free tix,thanks to Harvey Norman..so squeeze some time to quickly catch the movie before its over... and my.... i just enjoy it to the bits!!! I literally went awwwweeeeddddd thruout the whole movie and hope didn't irritate Buddy by it. ...

Also catch the movie Contagion! Been wanting to catch it ever since saw the trailer.... pretty good line up. But the movie was just...so so. I eventually dozed off in the cinema in the midst of it as i caught the movie after my last morn shift just before AL... and missed some part of the movie. So had to ask Buddy to narrate the bits...

And Jude Law...is still hot as ever. Hehehehe.

Also spent the AL catching up on my Korean dramas and planning some stuff for the 2 upcoming trip... Pre planning is really a headache...

I'm hooked to this drama for now....

Spy Myeong-wol!! Yeah, i'm late to watch it..but at least watch now then never.... hehe.

I would sure recommend my peeps to watch this drama... its just very entertaining and refreshing.

One of the difficult task i managed to settle - figuring this metro map!! UUrrrggghhh! Look at all the squirmy color lines!!

Unlike Singapore's SMRT lines, the color is definite. I just learned from Nurani today that in our various guide book... the lines color varies!! zzzz

So once in Seoul, we are gonna put 3 books to test....

- Lonely Planet : Seoul

- Rough Guides : Korea or Seoul version

- Frommers's Day by day Guide to Seoul.

Then i would recommend which among these books is truly the best travel companion. Currently my top list is Lonely Planet. Even Squidy swears by it during her last trip to Dubai.

Whereas Rough Guides has plenty of tips and Frommers is simply chic and very handy yet jam packed with informations we are dying to know!

Its gonna be tough fight... hehehe

All right... end here. Another jalan raya-ing tomorrow... with the dear Cepuk Clan!

By the way.... congrats to Leon and June! They had a blissful wedding ceremony earlier today, and i missed it. Recalled my older days with the sweet couple.... hehehe

Nom Nom Time - Oysters anyone??

Random post - went over to Banquet Parkway Parade for dinner with Mom.. and saw the Fried Oysters on the menu..which look so salivating.

So decided to order it...

Sometimes, eating the oysters can be plainly taste "fishy"..so gulped it down with the egg-ed and cup of F&N's Grape..

And i wallop the whole plate. The boogers - The chilli doesn't taste that great.

So the overall experience - i shall rate 5/10.....

All right..i realized, since i love to eat, love to shoot, love to discover new places, and love to travel sooo much, why not i shall combine all into this blog...

Which i'm going to start on..... the upcoming Thailand trip. (nyehehehehe....)

Went to the Natas travel fair recently to check out hot deals for the Phuket trip. There were so many hot deals but just sadly, could not take advantage of it as i got my fixed dates for the travelling.. just plain wasted.

Moral of the story: check out deals first..and then plan the dates later. Just had to make sure you got the request off for the roster..which can be slight tricky..hehe.

Got an interesting deal from Natas side.. booked a room from the resort, Deewana Patong, which is a 4 star resort. And i got to choose a free selection of the following..

so of course...i opt for Phi Phi Island. Since i have been to Simon Cabaret before and it will be awesome to go back to Phi Phi Don once more... :p

went to survey for few stuffs for the upcoming Korea trip as well... and saw this..

A mascot busy watching a free demo show from the Korean counterpart... lol! Soo cute la.

Another tips: Dun ever bought air ticket from the counter @ airport. Its cost more than buying online... despite so many hidden charges when buying online.

The outing with Kennie love where we spent out lazy Saturday off shooting off @ old railway tracks and visit the old Haw Par Villa. Was quite surprised that its still open for visitors.

By the time we reached there,the exhibits fer the 10 Gates of Hell was closing..so we managed to just walked and catch the exhibits in a glance... the whole trip there just reminded me of the times where i last visited the Park when i was young few decades back...lol

And... the belated Buffday of mine... nyehehe. Got the lovely surprise dinner from the deary Ratzgon @ Earl Swensen.. thanks to Nurani whom helped them to "catch" me..haha

The Chalet and USS Love

Last June...had a round of the Ratgonz chalet plus trip down to the Universal Studio Singapore!

Another nite affair fer us... hehe. And same time celebrating dear Px's buffday...

Booked at Costa Sands Sentosa,which was our very first time. Pretty small fer the 6 of us to squueze...but its cozy..and not forgetting..darm cold at nite la.

Once reached at the chalet...rot myself into the bed while Buddy and Px got themselves hooked in watching the chinese variety show.

Surprised the lil Px by bringing her out back to Vivo and met up with the rest of the gang. And had Sakae Sushi fer dinner...as the birthday girl just love Jap food to the max.

Once came back to the chalet, we proceed to play few games that both Px and myself plan on..

the first game - Dun do or speak evil.

while the game is ongoing, once again, surprise Px with the bdae cake...

and soon,one by one...got defeated by doing or saying their forbidden phrase/acts.... And Px busy unwrapping all her bdae gifts fer the day....

Played the 2nd game too which involved spiking everyone's drinks and see their reaction upon drinking. Just too bad i didnt manage to catch their classical face expression on cam...

The following morning, off we go to...USS!!!!!

The place is just oh so....awesome la!!! Its darn huge...and thank God there is several huge lockers for us to put our bags and stuff...

Snap a pic here and there...just feel like im not in Singapore...the atmospheres there is simply great. That explains the pricey entrance...

Took "safe" ride here and there...im aint a fan of daring rides. Especially Roller Coaster. Coz im simply...afraid of height and got a pretty weak heart. The Dracos decided to ride the Mummy Indoor roller coaster...and immediately, i was brought back to the memory few years back where i TOOK MY VERY FIRST roller coaster indoor @ Escape Theme Park with Squidy. You know,that Panasonic indoor roller coaster...i was so traumatise with it that till today,Squidy would disturb me with that...zzzzz

As Px told me,this ride is very safe and not to scary...i just follow them. Though i was panicky looking at the warning posters around,stating this ride gonna cost me lots of various movement. I was literally...tearing in silence...waiting anxiously to ride and get over with it.

And so yay..got myself into the ride,praying hard..and quickly shut my eyes when it start to move...and the next min..guess what happen la...

I was wailing..yes wailing my lungs out and crying while holding on to Buddy whom unfortunately for her,sat beside me...begging her to stop the ride coz i cant take it. The ride make me fly all over the place..and throughout this,i was hanging on to my specs,which felt like it gonna drop anytime soon!!!!!

The same thing happen like Panasonic...the ride stop...i still cry..and Buddy was like,"its okay,its finish..." and i goes like.."no i dun want i dun want..." Squidy will love this re-anacment scene.

Make a fool out of myself. And the girls were singing song fer me,to cheer me up...its soo cute of them. But i was dang shaking....

and squidy told me this..."The Mummy roller coaster u took...that was way worst than the panasonic we took" And mind you, Squidy is a daredevil.

No more rollercoaster fer me!

Though almost spent the whole day there,just wanna go there once again! Feel like not enough...

Another week of AL (Part One - The Movies)

Yeap..you're seeing right. Currently,i'm on another week of AL... this AL,was a low profile one. With no overseas trip.. (erm does a trip to JB counts??). Majority of it just well spent with fellow mates.

And i started to enjoy right after my night shift ends... where i watched this pretty interesting show called Super 8,with Px. Almost dozed off in the beginning... but when the interesting scene was shown, we both became super alert... lol

Since it's a movie by Steven Spielberg, it got to be rock somehow or rather.. Basically a show that seems like took place in the 80s... where a group of young kids stumbled into a creepy train crash incident, which leads to a huge,dinosaur look-alike monster alien terrorizing the streets.

And i'm just awe by the homemade movie that the kids were doing. haha i wonder if i could do the same..

after chilling out with Px and lunch date together with Nurani,went to catch another movie,with Buddy this time. As it was a surprise date, didnt know what movie we were gonna watch till i stepped inside...

and.... nyehehehe

The Ward!!

I was waiting to watch this particular movie. Reason being was that this movie was about several girls, whom are the patients in a psychiatry hospital..went missing. And seems there was a evil soul resides in the ward and started to kill the girls....

and soon,the twist reveals. there were no ghost. no evil souls. but instead is a..... not gonna be a spoiler here. watch it yourself. haha.

spent the Monday blues,meeting up with Baby Khai, after soooooo long not meeting up. And we decided to head down to JB fer some shopping,eating and watching movie. And we settled on KL Gangster. As the horror Rasuk is not out yet...zzzzzzz

Shot at the familiar streets of KL,this movie highlights the life of a KL gangster and the clans. Just full of street violence, betrayal, loyalty, repent... and there are certain sad scene that make me tears...quite glad that i managed to catch this movie...

Peranakan Museum...and a scary movie???

When both Kennie & myself had weekend off, snatch the McLummy..and off we go..for an explore session round Singapore..

First stop this time - The Peranakan Museum. Guess Kennie wanna checked out her roots..nyehehe.

~ found a copy of William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. My all time fave!~

Kinda like the exhibits there. The Peranakans is very rich with their culture and heritage.

And i discovered that,kaki Babi (pork leg) is used as a wedding exchange gift between the bride & groom, which also symbolise virginity. Interesting...

Spent the saturday evening with Squidy,as we immersed ourselves in the horror...caught the Thai horror, LaddaLand.

Basically about a guy whom got his family to shift to a new apartment of their own in Changmai. And the village they lived in,is of course, called Laddaland.

Soon...lotsa homicide cases occurs in their new hometown. And the horror begins..

And dang..its very tiring watching this movie. we both kept screaming and shocked. even Squidy herself,whom always had no problem with horror movie..finds it very scary this time round.

Its given 4 popcorns in the movies. But we gave it 5 popcorns instead!!

warning - its certainly not for the faint heart. trust me.

Recently, the health starts to take its toiled once again. Old illness is back.... and after much of endure, its time to see the guy in white coat. Same old routine,same procedure gonna be done. Feels kinda weird to be the patient once again. And someone is just so sweet to accompany me to the clinic despite working on the very day. hehehehehe....

and the fear comes again. the next procedure is due very next week. Dr S.M offered am MC but i very much declined his offer politely..much to the amuse of Tom who was with me...so gonna do it during my off day...

Done with the blood test...Almost got Tom to just sucked the blood out of me,as i hate phlebotomist...and done with the consent and so called counseling by an old fren whom is currently working in the clinic...

so now,armed with the appt letter...im so gonna party first,suffer next.

the overdue KL trip..

Once again, headed KL during the recent AL..with the Kuzins. As we had planned since last year..nyehehehe.

Day One...

Was the very first time taking Tigers. Ain't no fan of Tigers initially...but since their timing was very much feasible,so decided to go ahead with it. Turned out,not that bad despite the delayed flight.. well, i still prefer Jetstar...hehe. Maybe would still considered Tiger for nearby short distanced trip only..

Once reached the KL's LCCT..its time for Nom Nom! first pit stop - Old White Town Coffee cafe to recharge ourselves...
After so much of travelling from one point to another, reached our hotel,Dorsett Regency. And it was oreadi past 8 by then...ppfftttt. So quickly freshened up and headed out for dinner at the nearby Pavilion...

Thank to dear Buddy whom helped me with the last minute researched,i finally found what i was craving for....

Pepper Lunch.!!!!!!!! In KL, almost all the eateries are Halal,compared to Singapore. Since Pepper Lunch here is no no halal, i had to satisfy my craving in KL instead.. (Pepper Lunch is hidden at the basement level of Pavilion)

After the heavy meal....went downtown to Bukit Bintang area and brought the Kuzins around the places while waiting for the clock to struck midnite..for our dose of sing k @ RedBox Plus!

Came across this awesome place during the last trip with Nuridah...most of their songs are originals and the list full of latest songs..So sang to our hearts' content..before ended the day chilling at our cozy room....

Day Two.

Breakkie at a foodcourt @ Pavilion..and got a free WiFi!! As usual,eat,drink and spend some time there Whatsaapping and planning the day's plan ahead...

Spent the rest of the day getting our stuffs around KL...checking out various nite markets and shopping centres..and squeeze some time trying our Archery...been so long since i last had it.

Had dinner...at Chili's!! The food is just sooo awesome... and love the ambience. Should really have date night session here...

Day Three...

Not so short but not so long day for us....Spent the early hours resting ourselves to the max before checking out from the hotel. Headed to A&Ws for our..BRUNCH! Lol...we had late meals on our last day...

Roam around before goin out of KL and headed to Damansutra,to check out the shopping centre,called The Curve..where we checked out something that we had been wanting to try...

Marche Restaurant. And of course, its halal..lol

I guess compared to the outlet in S'pore, the outlet there doesnt have that much of varieties....

Headed back to mainland that nite...And that concludes the 3D 2N affair.

Had a short mini picnic @ Botanic Garden and dinner-ing @ Lau Pa Sat ravishing on all the satay sticks, as requested by the buffday girl herself..

Time flies so fast when you are having loads of fun... Mr AL gonna leave me again very very soon...

Glad that this time round, Mr AL have served me pretty well.. with tons n tons of quality time spent with people and adventuring out...

Of course the highlights, (besides keep eating and eating and grow fat).. Its gotta be the trip to Bintan with Buddy and KL trip with the kuzins.. :)

So lets start off with the trip to Bintan....

Lets say its a very last minute and impromptu trip fer the both of us...as we both decided to just go ahead after her nite shift. So i did the planning and booking..and were crossing my fingers as much as possible..hoping to get the very own chalet as planned..and Mr Travel Agency informed me that due to the last minute booking,anything is possible....

Of course i was soooo elated when found...i secured our very own first Seaview Chalet @ Mayang Sari!! Thankxxx to Mummy Nana's recommendation...

so the date arrived. off we go after Buddy's knock off from work...and she's pretty shagged..but eggcited :P

and we greeted with an excellent view of the sea and the seabreeze ...especially right outside our chalet...

once seeing the bed..us being the very lazybones... auto start to laze around till got our butts off and headed to Pasar Oleh Oleh for snacking and massage... as my tummy too hungry...

Headed to the massage place that Buddy been before previously...and after much walking,finally found the place. And my...it was awesomely great!! Rejuvenated,back to resort..laze again and headed out for a proper dinner.. this time round.. @ The Kelong.

Well, our chalet is in the Nirwana Garden's premises...so basically the place is huge and scattered...so gotta took the internal shuttle bus to The Kelong..which we realised.. wasnt that far...(simply too dark to walk). Once reached there...its really OMJ moment...the view is just so splendid. So we had dinner, with tons of food, surrounds by the sea, strong seabreeze, and under the stars...romantic or what...nyehehe. Perfect date night...Too bad cant capture the seaview as its just too dark...

as usual.. stomach creating prob even after eating... haiz. And the best thing..didn't brought my meds out..zzzzz..

once my tummy slight resolved, headed to The Calpyso which was just opposite the Kelong..and in order to head there,we got to cross the bridge which is right in the middle of the sea.. My fear of water then kicks in....plus its was super dark.. so i kinda fumble myself across the bridge..Thank God, Buddy's a swimmer..so naturally, i feel much secured. Lol.

Stop in the middle of the bridge (still the fear exist)..looked up and The Another OMJ moment came.. right above us..lies the bed of STARS!!!!! (fear stop totally!!)

dunno how long we stood there.. just gawked at the stars with our mouth wide open.

Singapore just missing a lot of natural stuff....

Buddy even suggested we should just park ourselves in the middle of the bridge n stargazing..but we left as afraid we will be chased away by the ppl @ The Caplyso.

Headed back to resort...and explore the surrounding at our resort...

It was super dark..even darker then @ Redang la....

so we both on our Iphoney Torchlight apps...(thx God for the app) to navigate ourself...

and parked ourselves..for real stargazing.

As i have seen shooting stars twice (once with Nurani @ Batam & with Kennie @ prev Bintan trip), thought i might catch mine 3rd and Buddy's first....

just our luck..dark sky looms ahead. which ended our stargazing session and headed to Lala Land instead. Accompanied by the wave crashing.. lol.

Next day...our last day there....

Okay.... its time fer me to post my last Bintan trip with Kennie Love. Had our mini two day one night affair @ Bintan Lagoon,together with Kennie's frens.. Was my first time visiting the island..and after hearing so much from Buddy... finally got the chance to check out the beach on my own...

It was purely a relaxing trip fer us..and got ourselves a great deal on body Javanese massage and milk body bath..hehehe.

Got my hair dyed with the help of Kennie... and it turned out well! Glad the 1 hour plus of sitting still pays off... :)

Spent the nite star gazing and caught my 2nd shooting star!! And Kennie's first!! And after awhile..Kennie managed to caught 3 shooting stars in the end! And we spent the rest of the nite strumming guitar..and singing along. And found an uninvited guest...in our videos...

Its been a awesome pawsome 2 days 1 nite spent..for sure will make my way to Bintan again soon...

And its gonna be real soon...nyehehehe.

Cause' my AL is just round the corner..and off me go to Bintan again and KL...!!!!

Had a seoul garden dinner last Friday with Buddy,Muni and Suhana..as usual..nowadays pretty hard to get full force out for an outing. Been quite a long time since i last ate @ seoul garden..and boy,the food getting terrible...tsk tsk tsk.

Spent the last 2 weeks filled with impromptu getaways during the public holidays..

1st trip - with the 6-Ers @ Batam..

This was our very first trip together as the 6-Ers! As it was a Good Friday on that very day..Harbourfront was so jammed packed with Singaporeans taking advantages of the long weekend ... and guess who i bumped into..my 2 dear dietician, June & Soo Lay..hehe. They too took up the same package..but stayed @ diff hotel...

As much as everyone was so egg-cited in the beginning..we realised that the trip we signed up for was filled with a super boring city tour where they just brought us around Batam for sightseeing..where all we wanted was just to head to our hotel,dumped our stuff and plan our own tour...zzzzz

After seafood lunch and encountered with a Megabitch,a fellow Singaporean whom must have thought we were a bunch of school kids...i managed to got us all back to hotel..and we then start shopping!!! Thanx to Rosh,we got ourselves a cab driver whom shuffle us from hotel to Nagoya fer shopping...

so much of shopping.. headed back to hotel for dinner and chillaxing around...and celebrating Rosh;s 21st buffday..hehe.

The following day..went for a Javanese massage which was included in the package. As i have not been for a massage for a long time..got my body aching so much...and off we headed back home..which marks the end of our two day one nite affair..

Belated Post - Munnie's 23rd Bdae

Another late post from me... had a mini gathering last two Saturdays with the dragon babies to celebrate Munnie's 23rd belated bdae...the first Dragon baby to turn 23rd first! it's rather a personal affair as few dragons were not able to attend.. so the missing Dragons like Qiaofen and Buddy MJ,..better go and make it up to her...

so left Px,Suhana and myself to rock Munnie's night on that day..hehehe

So one bdae down.. 5 more to go..nyehehe.

On a note,just came back from a short getaway @ Batam island..together with the beloved 6-Ers. Beennnnnn sooo long since we last met up.. a pretty good spent 2 Day One Nite affair together..while celebrating Roshini's 21st bdae.. will upload the pixs sooon.

Gonna turn in soon. My whole body aching thank to the massage i received earlier on.

And Happy Date Night to you Buddy! Whom is busy partying hard now in the city of KL..with my Daddy and Mummy...

the impromptu getaway - KL Edition

After so much drama mama @ the ward.. both Ocho & myself headed off and fllllyyyyyyyyyyyyy away to.. KL....fer our own destress trip.

It supoz to be Vietnam Edition la....but no thank to Mr Baba whom overlooked my roster request and there isn't any flight fer me to head to Vietnam after morn shift...grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

So KL..pun KL la...

This time round.. its purely food...and food..plenty of walking and sightseeing..relaxing and checking out museum together with my travel mate!

Right after the long journey to our hotel..we went out and roamed the streets of KL in the middle of the nite. And pitstop @ Redbox for the nite session of karaoke-ing!

And boy.... they had all the latest songs mv!!! We both practically went googa-ing screaming like some mad women... lol. If only Buddy was with us..she will surely love that place!

The next day,went market hopping..and sightseeing around the city. And that where we started to hunt..for postcards & stamps!!!!

As fer our last day...decided to check out Museum Negara.. not that much exhibits compared to S'pore.. but pretty cool. Not bad...

and we did our main agenda.. A&W session!!!

And we still didnt find any stamps!! To mail out out postcards..i was kinda upset that i didnt get to sent any postcard out..and Ocho too was kinda upset as she too planned to sent hers out..

Until before we left back to Singapore...i found a shop selling stamps!!!

After our dinner @ Carl's Junior at Pavilion and chilling out at Starbucks.. we both headed back to our hotel..and i happen to look up from the sky..and i saw like diff colour lights above me. Pointed it out to Ocho and soon.. everyone around us were looking and pointing at it...

Remember the earlier post where i mentioned i'm currently reading one of Jodi Picoult's latest book called Sing You Home??
One thing that makes this novel stands out is that there IS MUSIC TRACKs accompanying the book...since the main character,Zoe is a music therapist. Basically the tracks brought out the feeling of the various characters and the moods presented in the book...

Brought the girls down to Arab Street,and after so much looking around and discussing..they finally settled on Amirah's Grill!! Nyehehehe... i was soo hoping to get the King/Queen's corner..but crap crap crap...it was occupied! *Horror Horror* so just settled on the Level 1...*shrugs*

Meal was good like usual..camera snapping non stop.. with the usual catching up with one another.

ED Awareness Week

Spent my last bits of my AL by helping out my ED team during the ED Awareness forum held @ National Library,together with Kennie,Mokkie and Nana unnie...

Seem like its a yearly affair..and tis was my first time joining the forces! so spent the morning taking pixs fer the team,doing some errands,distributes the goodies bag and most importantly, busy building bonds with fellows ED personnels like the drs,psychologist,art therapist, dieticians,MSW,occupational therapist and us nurses..we are just like the one big family..which i like coz there is good teamwork..

Weeks ago, celebrated Kennie Daddy's belated buffday by throwing a surprise buffday party @ West Coast Mac!! Was kinda pretty excited as it was my very first time celebrating birthday @ Mac...and who says Mac party is only fer kids?? hehehehe

Anyway,it was Kennie's long time childhood dream.. so Ocho decided to fulfill fer her...

The best thing..our dear fren from Aussie,Mei Yee was back to join us!!!! Misses her sooo much!!

So on that very Saturday..after work,myself and Mookie collected the stuffs,and together with the rest of our gang..we packed the items.Resembled some factory workers..while waiting fer the "star of the day" to arrive....

and of course - Kennie was so surprise and shocked!!! and we spent the rest of the days catching up with one another..with tons of laughters. Our own Psy party gathering :)

seriously.... anyone has any idea where can i get my hands on the near-extinct Paul Smith Floral perfume?????

I have been searching for this particular perfume like nuts! i swear, i have never search for anything with all my might..except for this. Some of my mates,may have known this..that each time i passed any perfume/scent shop..i WILL SURE popped in and look fer it on my own and asked the following question,"Excuse me Miss, (its always a salesgirl in the perfume shop..like duh) Do you happen to sell Paul Smith Floral??"

And the replied would always be as follows - its either, "Nope,we don't have it anymore" or "No,but would you like to try the new Paul Smith Rose instead? its very nice..you should try"...

I myself am using the Paul Smith Rose..so i knew very well how nice is it,thank you. However, this Paul Smith Floral...smells very exotic,unique,full of mysterious...and of course, smells of MJ.

why smells of Buddy MJ? simple. Its her faveret perfume.

I came across this perfume scent,when i first known Buddy, back 2 years ago. i didn't take notice of her scent each time she came on duty or when we go out together. Though the scent always tapped on my curiousity.

Until when she came over to Psyc unit to join me. And we got the chance to always be near each other proximity compared to outside. And the perfume scent goes stronger. Even my patient once wrote in her Thank You card before she left - "To Nurse MJ, you smells great. I always know you're around by ur smell."

Hence, i went up to Buddy and asked, "exactly what perfume u using??" Her reply," Paul Smith Floral. I have been using it fer years.."

since then,all of us in Psyc unit, knows Paul Smith Floral as "scent of MJ". And i have fallen in love with the perfume. Each time i sees Buddy,she practically noes what im goin to tell her - "MJ,you smelllssss soooo gooooddddd"

Until she dropped the bomb on me.. that she cant find the perfume anymore. And her stock is running low. That when i told her,i will find the perfume for her.. and here i am. Trying to find Paul Smith Floral....

Buddy was mentally prepared to change her new perfume should Paul Smith turned extinct. And i know very well,it takes years for one to find her own perfect perfume/scent. I myself am still finding my own. Brought her around to smell diff scent,we didn't find any one that suits her.

Had some family gathering last Sunday @ Aranda. Oh gosh,i just missed hanging out at the Aranda chalet. Was quite a massive ones as most of relatives from my dad's side appeared. And seriously, i dunno most of them. So simply,i just chilled one corner,playing Monopoly deal with the Kuzzins, and being photographer around for the day..

When the nite falls,got a lovely surprise from someone. Buddy MJ came over to the chalet to joined me fer the nite!! As it was last few days of her AL while mine just started... so we got the whole chalet to ourselves!!! Was watching Piranha on my Macbook while waiting fer my family to pack and leave..and while engrossing in the movie,my sis just came in like Paparazzi and start snapping us on the bed...of course we started to hide undercover...and i found this hilarious pix of us..

Spent the rest of the nite chilling out,had our nite walk,and getting cozy and comfy watching Sex and the City serials till we dozed off together since the nite before,we had partied hard. The next day,chilled out till we bid goodbye to each other..

AL Day 4 - Met up with Pei Xuan & Nurani to catch the Kumar's Amazing Race @ Esplanade Theatre. It was the first fer the both of them..and i was sooooo alllll excited!!

Prior to that,we headed to Breeks fer dinner. Just so sad that they no longer served Korean food anymore!! So instead,ordered ribeye steak which i find it value for money and its sooo filling! And yummy too! Will take note to go there on Tues again...

This time round,Kumar stand up comedy features being an Indian in S'pore context. And his jokes plus seeing his opinion of happenings in S'pore seriously gave me an abdominal cramp..from all that laughters. Never failed to make my day!

We had our indulgence of dessert - Gelato ice creams and Mango Sago from my fave Ah Chew. What a good way to end the nite,with my faveret girls. Good company fer the day! :)

Once again...its time fer another date with Mr AL! so i shall blog more fer this week..hur hur hur. Now for a long updated blog....

Post CNY..was given 5 days off,hence spent the time by heading off for a short getaway to Batam,and the rest of the days catching up with several frends...

1) went out for a date session with MJ Buddy. Headed out for a cycling session,and it was sucha good workout! Gotten myself a butt cramp as usual..Had our lunch at BBQ Chicken. It was a first time for Buddy..and instead of giving her my listening ear,i was too distracted by watching all the K-Pop videos which was showing right next to me.. you should have seen how Buddy was rolling her eyes on me.. lol. And once again,got a lectured from her for not finishing my meal..i should have known better than not to mess with a fellow psychiatric nurse...

2) Attended Angie's 23rd bdae chalet @ Costa Sands,together with Nurani. Met couple of old frens there and meeting my boy boy after soooo long! Yeap its kinda difficult now to meet the 6-Ers nowdays,due to all our diff shifts...quite shitty.

Last Friday,after the usual busy-ness of Fridays @ work,Kennie and myself met up with Px,Nana and Kennie's buddy,Pm fer dinner and movie. Brought them fer a dose of Dominos...im seriously addicted to the pizza man. Went over to Kovan branch this time,and had a feast together before watching Hereafter @ NEX mall...

I must say..i give Hereafter a thumbs up! I find it more of a psychological meets supernatural thriller kinda movie. And its those movie where you will be wondering and pondering..can also easily bored one..but not me. Hehe.

Hereafter featuring Matt Damon,highlight about the life after death..and where does one goes after death... hence the movie title. 3 diff people,with diff country,background,lives...come together at a point of time..to find what they been searching for. After experiencing some supernatural encounters... its to chymm to explain..you gotta watch it to understand.

Warning : If you get too bored easily, don't watch! Some scenes left me cracking in the cinema hall till Px gotta hushed me..lol and few scenes left me in tears,especially the one involves the twins brothers and one of them died...

CSI Investigators

Despite our busyness schedule and hectic lifestyle, Buddy MJ and myself headed down to S'pore Science Centre..and check out the CSI -The Experience ,as part of her belated buffdae celebration

Just like The Human Body exhibit which i went last year,no cammies were allowed inside the exhibit..pppffftttt. So Buddy and me went inside,after taking a snapshot outside as part of welcoming us..put on our thinking cap and start to crack the 4 different crime scenarios..

Since i have a genius partner with me,we settled most of the cases pretty fast..lol. And its pretty awesome! We both simply enjoyed the exhibits..esp myself as i'm a fan of CSI shows. At the end of the exhibit, we gotten ourselves a CSI Diploma and the CSI snapshot together as a memory.. :)

After the CSI exhibit,checked out some other displays @ the science centre...and started to goof around..

On a note, Its Lunar New Year...happy Year of Rabbit Lunar New Year! Dang,gotta work..if only im given off,or ALs or PHs since its low quota @ the ward...i shall just count down to post nite..cant wait to party!

And Happy happy happpy...most most happy Buffdae to Kennie..whom is now busy celebrating her post bdae @ club i tink.. :)

Recently,had a Cooking Mama session together with Nurani & Px,over @ Nurani's crib. Im quite well known fer my suckiness when it comes to the kitchen..so i had the both cooking pro to help me to sort it out.

The mini feast fer the 3 of us we had while watching KBS korean drama,impromptu movie & anime..haha.

The future tai-tai in the making...can imagine her fanning herself while sipping cup of Darjeeling/English Breakfast tea...lol

Spent the last round of nite shift just before heading on leave..dinner with the girls @ Earl's Swensen,Vivo..with our dear Ms Dietician, June and Dr Vanessa,whom just left to do her posting @ IMH...just too bad by the time myself and my partner in crime fer the nite, Ocho needa leave,Netty came... and also too bad peeps like Dr Daniel & my faveret Mary Jane cant join us...

And hell yeah,dear Ocho had gotten her new addition to the family - Minolta X700! Lovely! So brought her cammy - MinoFilmy out to play.

Myself and Junnie.... Miss working with her! And yeah,this pix taken by Ocho...is sooooo freaking nice laaarrrr...!

Cant wait fer Ocho to use her black & white and chrome film...

Birthday Week is just a day away...and im now officially gone fer action fer a week! Yipppeeee!

Domino's Pizza...Yummay!

Had my very first Domino's Pizza yesterday together with Squidy. After dropping her mom off over at her grandmom's place,decided to grab a bite. Initially,it was a battle between Macs & Dominos..however Squidy was taking this very chance to introduce me to Dominos..so here we goooo..

especially after a long hard day at work...

well,according to Squidy,pizza is still a forbidden food in 52B..pity my poor girls there.

i find it very amusing when Squidy commented while eating, "syima,i feel like we both in USA after eating this pizza." LoL.

As there is an outlet in Hougang, perhaps i should bring Orang Kecik to go eat Dominos together,as what Squidy suggested. Hehe.

Recently,had an impromptu outing with Kennie & MJ fer dinner @ Clarke Quay and k-ok session at Partyworld.

Just a simple nite.. but most importantly,getting cosy with one another..hur hur hur. Impressive,we gobbled our seafood dinner asap,as the place had several reservation and they were kind enuff to let us dine there within a timing...also helps that the 2 buddies had a longggg day and work and hence...neeed fooooddddd!

Once our tummys filled up,headed to Partyword@Liang Court...

Dear Mokkie had introduced to me recently these song by the couple YongSeo (of course my fave CN Blue Jung Yong Hwa & SNSD Seohyun ) called Banmal. Its a song created by both of them as one of the mission in the reality series We Got Married where they are..as a couple.

As i didn't follow the WGM YongSeo series..i was not aware of this particular song. And after listening it and knowing the meaning of the lyric...oh man...... its like FIREWORKS to my heart!

One of the last few highlights meeting Mr AL - trip to AFAX 2010 with Nurani. As i was away last Saturday,Nurani was sweet enuff to accompany me to attend the show again. It was twice fer her..

And as expected, i was goin literally crazy for K-ON! Just like what i did, when i received a distance call from Nurani the day before while i was still away - to ask if i wanna any of the merchadise before all SNAPPED away.......and i was jumpin away after we hang up the phone..

Cant find Yui Hirosawa among the figurines here..that's weird. And their t-shirts sold out and cant find their posters... :( So end up just got the mobile strap and charms..like again! Mj was shaking her head off when she learned i bought another K-ON charms..haha, and was asking me what happened to the one which i bought with her earlier of the week...

Skipped the Butler Cafe,Maid Cafe & the stage show as i was too weak with the flu..heard from Nurani the butler cafe was pretty fun as she kinda celebrated her bdae there with her frends.. so i shall just wait fer next year one then..

On a note, Birthday Week is finally over. Hope to see you again next year. And may it will be more blast blast blast blast ya.. *crossing fingers*

The Sun,The Sand and Oh so Paradise

Squidy had recalled this moment fer me. Regarding the conversation we had back in year 2004,after the Tsunami incident..(during the tsunami fatal time,myself,Squidy & Fiza had went to do some xmas shopping,ironically)

Venue: Back then Coffee Bean @ Wheelock Place, in year 2004

Conversation : Imagining our very first vacation together,where we go Patong at Phuket,wearing our lifejacket as we both cant swim fer nuts,afraid there might be another..you know..Full of wild imagination and laughters with our crap.

Well,6 years had passed. I totally forget we had this particular conversation before. Im amazed that Squidy have a vivid memory on most of our conversations and moments together. And i had least expected,6 FREAKING YEARS later, we went off together, to Phuket. Fer our very first vacation together cum celebrating Squidy's bdae. Ironic eh? Totally unplanned,pure coincidence with the conversation we had back then.

Naturally,we both were simply tooooo egggcited fer the trip. However,when 10 Nov arrived, we both were simply shagged upon reaching airport.

Me = Lack of sleep due to rushing fer her gift the nite before,lack of rest post nite plus late nite chatting with Ocho..haha

Squidy = Rushing fer her slides for the Nursing conference,burn midnite oil,thus lack of sleep.

So morning of the day we fly off,sent my bdae wishes to my sister and set off to the airport..and Squidy was late. By the time she reached,we both knew..that this was gonna be a hilarious and eventful trip. And yes,it was indeed.

Its gonna be challenging summarising the whole trip into this blog entry... so i shall use point form and pictures.

Day One

- Squidy was late. No armed with hotel invoice. Her luggage padlock key missing. Reached Phuket safely,met this transvertite by name of Nana (lol),trying to sell us package to Phi Phi island..i was very grumpy waiting fer to reach my hotel and i wanna eat.

- Reached Royal Paradise. Was heavenly good. And got my dose of Super Junior & Big Bang on KBS!! yipppeee.. And started to roam around Patong area.

Jungceylon food court served the best halal Thai cuisine in one of the stall..and Squidy was sooo freaking happen that her craving of Thai Tom Yum was met in the first day. And yeah,halal food was all over Patong area..so we dished our canned food aside.

The spicy tom yum that got us kicking and the super delicious Iced Frozen Chayen ( Iced Thai Tea) @ Au Bon Pain cafe!

Spent the first nite with loads of shopping...lol.

Day Two....

- Trip to Ko Phi Phi early in the morning! Happiness awhile..as poor Smarty here got herself into an accident involving her toes while just few seconds onboardWhile Squidy was crying away lookin at me.. and hey guess who was the one who helped Smarty?? A kind Arab guy and his family,who helped my toes set free while his own hand got trapped, his wife offered water to washed my wound while the sissy Caucasians guys just looked at us pathetically. And you think Caucasians guys are great???!! Hah..just approached me and i tell you why....

Still..that didnt dampen my mood to check out Ko Phi Phi..although the pain was killing me. Squidy kept checking on me to make sure im alright and i literally dozed off in the speedboat.

- And the island we went to @ Ko Phi Phi : Maya Bay (where the movie "The Beach" was filmed), Khai Island,Monkey Beach, Phi Phi Dom plus snokelling!

- On the way to Khai Island...was stucked in a heavy storm...and got drenched in the rain plus the cold cold wind and heavily bumpy boat ride coz of the strong current. hence no pics of Khai Island..as i wanna protect my McLummy. so classic to see everyone reaction on the boat. Squidy was sooo afraid for our safety and i was like..laughing at her antics..Crazy me. Ok i was scared too. I just put on a brave front fer us..lol

- After some shopping and snacks binging, went to checked out the Thai nitelife,which was just a stone away from the hotel,and the infamous Bangla Road. Several Thais guys approached us fer Ping Pong show etc etc..by which we gave it a pass.... Headed to Magarita where we countdown fer Squidy's bdae...the live band performance was so great with all the classic song! Suprisingly,there were others whom also celebrating their bdaes..so there were ample bdae songs..lol.

Day Threeee....

- Happy Birthday to Squidy!!!!! After a very long day yesterday,spent most of the time today shopping again..getting souvenirs and back to the Jungceylon again to have lunch at our newly fave Thai stall. Very kind of the cook whom recognise us and gave us extra food fer free..This time,we tried the dessert, Sticky Rice Mango...and God...it taste heavenly!

Had a mini celebration @ the room before heading to Simon Cabaret. Highlight of the day. Just love the show. The LadiesBoys are sooo gorgeous la. but not the aftermath that arrive after the show..priceless experience...

Shopping again..and did facial cum body massage before leaving Phuket. Just soaking the atmosphere...

Must say..i would love to come back again to Phuket. with a goal - to ride Fino around the island!!!! :)

Am so happy to have the complete set of my dragon babies fer the dinner!! :)

Too bad, Ms Lee Px has to go back to work fer her nite duty..as the rest of us headed off to Promontory @ Marina to celebrate the new year together with such a blast.. and also went down to Marakkesh fer chilling out session with Buddy.

Lovely first few hours of 2011 i had there. And of course,the first 2 days of 2011 was a blast with Izwah wedding... (shall upload the pixies soon...)

Shopping for Xmas begins once again, as i spent my off day evening hunting for out of the box gift fer my partners and fer the ward in xmas gift exchanges..

And i came across this particular chocolate fondue set! And selling it at reasonable price..so i got a set fer myself. Thinking it will be nice to have a choc/cheese/meat (??!!) fondue party at my soon to be revamp room,or picnic etc etc etc...

Needless to say,i grab few fruits and biskits...and start my own fondue party @ home.

A Photographer’s Wardrobe: Things you may have never considered

I’m afraid this advice is mostly for fellow female photogs. There are quite a few things you may have never considered when dressing to shoot a wedding or a portrait session. Here are some of my fashion dos & donts:

Don’t wear a skirt/dress unless you charged extra for a peep show

Do wear jeans/trousers. Your knees will thank you.

I’m a skinny jeans girl. But tearing my jeans by crouching down a billion times in an hour isn’t favourable. Try to wear relaxed trousers, not tight ones.

Don’t wear bangles to shoot a wedding. Every time you move your arm, you’ll draw attention to yourself.

Don’t wear cheap shoes. Crouching down on the balls of your feet will totally split the sole wide open. Try for something from Clarks (in the UK) or Aerosoles (In America) with flexible soles.

Pockets are so valuable for a photographer. When I buy cardigans, I always make sure they have a pocket. This way, you can drop in your lens cap, spare battery, etc.

If you’re a makeup wearer, your makeup repertoire should be different for a long day of shooting.

You probably won’t find it easy wearing sunglasses while looking through a viewfinder. And even if it’s not your style, consider a hat for outdoors shooting in impossibly bright locations.

No matter the heat, cover up for sun protection and try to avoid sunscreen on areas of your body which will come in contact with your camera or it’s strap

That’s all I can think of for now. Anyone else have tips for a photographer’s wardrobe?

Catch CN Blue Live @ NUS UCC with Px & Mookie! Sumhow,like a wish came true!

The gig is freaking awesome. Its totally worth me waking up super early though i got one more nite to go just to attend this gig....

Jung Yong Hwa is just soooo way gorgeous! Just love his blue guitar. And Min Hyuk is sooo cute..haha.

Most videos and pictures (great great pictures) are with Px,as she brought her Champagne along...just love her champagne!

I guess i should start saving to buy the telephoto lens..

Meanwhile...Yong Hwa performed this particular song,called "Because Im A Fool" during the gig...he was serenading to the 2 lucky fans...

One of my fave song! As i just love and love the lyrics and the way he sang to Min Nam in the drama "You're Beautiful".....i was almost in tears when he sang this song live...Indeed Yong Hwa is Mr Emotional...

I'm done with my YOG duty. Gotta my cert,with some limited edition pins and tix to Universal Studios! Wooohhooooo. Its been a great experience to be part of the YOG though so many setback, nonsense stuff, and sacrificing so many sleeps.....

Meeting new peoples,making frends,interacting with the athletes and NOC from various countries,understanding how the security works and working alongside with the SPF, watching the games (Tennis), understanding the games (Tennis again),learn the tennis lingo...watching typical Singaporeans with the fave hobby of all - Complains.... all these is just priceless.

I shall just wait fer the Workforce Appreciation Party,coming up soon. I will miss goin to Kallang Tennis Centre. :)

Last week of Mr AL was pretty jam packed with lotsa activities...haha.

Spent my very first hour on AL right after work,by meeting up with Squidy fer late nite supper @ our usual hangout. Since i didnt get to go fer Sundown Festival and Squidy went fer NDP Preview..aisshhhh...

1st day of AL..met up with Px fer the FoodChase! For the 2nd time. Only that this time round,i got a new partner..nyehehehe!

Crack our brains fer the choice of foods to eat. Though we didnt not win,only got the consolation prize..its pretty fun session! It seem like we both were like strolling instead of running down,as what claimed by the game host. Just loved cracking our brains,me struggling to gobble down the food,and looking at Px's antics....soo cute.

2nd Day of AL - Went out with Squidy as we both got the same AL..which was planned back then. However,she could not join me fer my trip as she need to prepare and do homework fer the upcoming conference in KL,which most likely,i will be going too..hopefully!

Me,being the last min hour...continue gallavanting till its time to head home as i was leaving fer Terengganu that nite..and mind you,i didnt not finish packing my bag yet! Was inside Squidy's car,singing on top of my hearts content to BSB's Straight Thru My Heart (!!!) when i received a col from sister saying that my kuzins were otw to meet me...

so full speed mode once i reached home,and off i went to meet the kuzins to take the coach..

and yeah, i pay the price. i forgot to pack my McLummy's memory card.

so...no camera!!!!

bugger rite???

at least,i got my underwater cam...praying hard i got camera access once im @ Redang..

after 10-12 hrs of coach and ferry ride,i reached Redang......

Just love the view and the crystal clear water!!!!

So there,got myself another underwater cam and rent a Canon Ixus underwater cam which i sneakily use its SD card to Mclummy..so i managed to bring McLummy under its hot sun..

so spent the next few days..snorkeling,and more snorkeling. the first time i saw the sealife beneath me,i was like... *speechless!* Totally awe by the scene..

and mind you..i spent the days swallowing super salty water...typical snorkeling newbies. And make few frends from the Redang Bay staff..they were soo nice to show us around and this cute Sabah guy, (his name is Jason..haha) dived fer me few times to show me the corals and sea cucumber (Gamat) and gave me the chance to hold "em.. :)

and yeah,there is this cute,tall guy,whom mend the underwater photo booth..and his is also an avid photographer..i col him Nigel Barker as he reminded me of the photographer, Nigel Barker in Américan Next Top Model...

well i loved his underwater shots (which most of it on my fb) and he kindly took my first ever diving pix!

(orite i was scared shit coz i dunno how to swim,and i got phobia of submerge in water and i had to literally hold my breath,and got dunked deep in just to get this shot)

this was my 2nd shot..1st shot can really see i was scared..haha!

During the nite,nothing much to do...so just resort hopping,checking out other resorts,their facilities,went karaoke..and the best one,chilling out by the beach club,seeing ppl dancing and listening to songs and they played kpop songs sia!!

And every nite,it was raining..so very Brrrrrr (i forgot to pack my jacket as well)

Interesting thing was,we kinda attracted few people around there,and most of them were curious on where we are from... some thought we from Beijing?! Chiang Mai??!!! goodness me..and one Malaysian girl were suprised that we were from Spore..as she tot Singaporean go to island dressed up in bikini and stuff.. sheesh!!

i should lose some fats seriously!!

Arrived back in Singapore,being more fatter (as i was well fed in Redang) and more blackie! And the following day,photoshoot with Suhana. Chopped off my hair as i didnt have time fer rebond and my hair seem damaged by the salty water...

Yeah,my buffday!! Woke up by a call from Squidy early morn...and we planned on meeting up fer breakfast before she headed fer work in the afternoon.

Hence, breakfast treat session with Squidy @ Coffee Bean... :)

By which after our breakfast,Squidy brought me to one of my fave cake shop,The Icing Room to get my bdae cake..and didnt know it was gonna be my very own DIY cake. That makes it more special..so off we both went..to do our own cake decor...

Step 3) Begin!! Haha!

haha we definately lose our Art touch..haha. Squidy intended fer us to go back again one fine day to do another cake with pre planned design..hehe.

After she headed to work ,off i went home. And found another bdae cake waiting fer me..courtesy of my family. Lovely!

Attempted to take wih Mini Me. However,she refused! She simply camera shy i guess..sob sob.

So much of cake cameo..off to meet Pei Xuan to celebrate the rest of my bdae. According to her,it was just gonna be the both of us dating as th rest were not free. Hence,went to watch The Crazies @ Cathay as Inception were full. On tuesday early afternoon,not a school holiday whatsoever and the cinema were full??!!!............

Crazies enuff..i got myself screaming inside as Px kept shutting her eyes..while eating my bdae cake.

After movie,we roam around,window shopping...and Px got us a reservation seats @ Swensen Plaza Sing,fer our dinner....

and......

the rest of the dragon babies were there to suprise me! 2nd suprise!!

they were soo cute to hide behind the menu..and i was like ek?? and almost in tears..haha emo me.

and another bdae cake accompany by singing of bdae song which got me reali paiseh.

thank God,this time round,it was a small cheesecake.

and this time,the girls played prank on me..

soo much of camwhoring and eating dinner,got my prezzies from them..and oh boy....i was pretty touched by all the gifts!! thank you much much!!

After a hard day work @ the ward,coz its stupid Monday...met up with Nurani as she fetch me from work,had a impromptu dessert treat together with Kas as this cool Granny Cafe @ Chinatown...

soon after,off Nurani and myself to Vivo,where we had our dinner and roaming around. She mentioned that she wanna get a bag earlier hence the trip to Vivo..and when we are there,she did not search for any bag,and i was the one reminding her to find a bag...and she was busying sms-ing when we were walking around,so i was wondering what sup...

and i didnt know i end up in this....

while i was stoning,lost in my own world,snapping pictures..while waiting fer my ice cream treat from Nurani @ Haagen Daaz..i was caught in shocked when a group of girls singing voices singing a Happy Birthday song behind me..apparently i was slow to turn and was bewildered as i was wondering whose bdae was it...

and when i turned,it was them!!!!!!!!

Nana, Lee Kheng,Nuridah,Suhana and fiance was there,suprising me with a lovely cake and i was super speechless,almost in tears while Nurani was laughing her heads off at me...

lovely suprise! and i didnt expect Nurani to be cahoots with them..lol

meanwhile.. last week Friday (16/7) - was the Night Festival!

~was waiting to enter the Abusement Park~

few of the areas include National Museum, Substation,Campus Green @ SMU, Spore Arts Museum (SAM) & Peranakan Museum was opened from 7pm till 2am, jam packed with lotsa lotsa activities!

Its was a real treat as i had a bad day on that day. But i got to say i was a samaritan fer the day!

Just too long story to say it here.

So off Squidy and myself,went to check out few highlights that caught our attention.

~The Giant SMS Billboard,where you sent the text and the guys will put up the sms live ~

So kiss the person on ur right now. No prize for guessing who was on my right then. Lol.

The following day (17/7), was Nurul's hen party nite. Before meeting the Cepuks, met up with Px fer our dose of Nodame Cantabile the finale. And just like the previous movie we watched on March,i just loved the movie and the music pieces. Perhaps i should get the ost or the dvd...

And the impromptu visit to Singapore Garden Festival after the movie...and caught the NDP's rehearsal fireworks! Dunno why i always love watching fireworks..

and rushed to Nabins to catch the Cepuks and several Nurul's frends fer the girls only by invitation..hen party.

As this is the our Cepuk's clan first wedding..we went krazzziieee..

and sheesh..no pix taken was allowed as sri appointed a photographer..hence the rest of us can concentrate on the games and catching up with one another. Mahnoor,our dear Aussie Cepuk was here to join the wedding event with us. So lovely!

Well,facebook is once again,testing my patience. And im yet to put up the pictures.

So i shall blog later with some pixs from the Garden festival,Hen Nite, Nurul's Nikah (Solemnization) which was on last Thurday and Nurul's wedding reception on Saturday.

Last weekend,spent the Sat before heading to work nite shift...met up with Px fer Kasmiah's wedding. Took cab (which was so difficult to find till i had to call for one!) all the way from my place to Jurong...as Px came all the way to Bedok to fetch me..so sweet. Lol.

Reach there just in time to catch her before she left..bumped into few colleagues.

And hell yeah,bride are always gorgeous don't they??

Roam around the Jurong Point after the wedding while waiting to go to work..and had another dinner session wit Px. That place change soo much since the last time i went over there...

17 July..marks the birthday of an old,dear fren wayyy back from sec sch... Hepi Birthday Hana!!

And also marks the death anniversary of my grandma..3 years gone pretty fast. Seems like its yest..when i rushed back from NYP,after taking my BCLS exam,and eating ice cream with a buddy..after hearing the bad news. The ice cream part..was to calm myself down and was a treat from a buddy.

And this year 17 July?? Spent it in a long,tiring yet awesome day..better than last 2 years!

Headed down to Bussorah Street with mom & sis fer some late lunch. Went to this particular cafe tucked in,which i had never came across and sis wanna try out the food there..so checked it out.

Chicken Champ - opened by the Nuradee Bros (one of the Spore duo singers)

The interior of the cafe was so-so. Its just enough a place fer you to stop by for a drink and dining before heading off to continue shopping etc etc. (especially being in Arab Street vincity). There is also a mini stage..with a mic and a guitar. Apparently they organise some live performance on fri,sat nites.

The foods that we ordered..

1)6 inch Seafood Submarine

I like the taste of the thick mayo mixed with the soft prawn and squidy. Haha Squidy.

2) 2 piece Chicken Meal

Quite crispy and the chicken's skin is very fluffy and not too thick. Nice.

3) Fish and Chips.

Me don't really fancy the fish and chips. After eaten different fish and chips at different place.

4) MunchSkins

(half potaoes with tandoori chicken/beef/mayo/chilli filling)

Taste not bad. Coz i like the mayo with the chicken bits. :)

5) Ice Milo with Ice Cream & Root Beer Float

After so long planning the project,sooo glad everything went smoothly and well.

Celebrated her bdae in another Eve Ritual... started the day by doing errands with Qiaofen & her bf,Lebon..park some stuff @ Lee Kheng place. Gosh,my back darm hurts carrying the stuff and due to last nite rushing the scrapbook..

Dunno y..all the trains i took.. i kept missing the stops..end up i was even later to meet the peeps for errands. Was lost in my world during the train journey...

After all the errands blah blah blah.. off to Marina Bay to meet Suhana &..the bdae girl of course.

The cute thing..all of us clad in green (almost) Except Qiaofen,whom insisted that her dress was green...aissshhh..(when its actually grey khaki). Off to Marina Barrage fer the very first time. And Px start whining! I need earplugs!!! Hehehe..sorry babe. You know how much i...hate to hear ur whining..hee. Thx to our hero of the day,Suhana,we got the chance to fly our kite...real high!!! Darm cool...i wanna go again man! Sooo much of camwhoring and practising our project - as claimed by Px..we both happen to be an Artsy student. :)

2nd suprised of the day - Dinner @ Wanabe Cafe. Px doesnt know where we headed to,and who were joining us fer dinner..so its pretty pleasant suprise fer her to see MJ,Lee Kheng & Nurani there. Over the cafe,beside our usual dinner session, we literally sabo-ed Px into performing us some songs..which she only sang one song (hope i can put up the vid real soon) and goofing ard the stage. Just too bad there wasn't any keyboard as that is dear Px's forte..

We gave her small,budget Mango cake plus our very the budget bdae gift..The Chapalang set!

So much of laughters,pranks and chilling out..Both Px and myself went to catch Toy Story 3 while the rest headed home.. and my.. i just lovvveeee the movie! Its superb and touching..which again,Px caught me tearing away..lol.

Once the movie was over,that where i got into action again..gave her a lil white lies,by telling her that im heading to Hougang to meet Squidy,so off i go in her cab..once reaching there, she was like waiting fer me in the carpark,waiting fer Squidy's car to appear.. however.. Lee Kheng appeared with the sparklers Bdae cake! Soo much fer being budget..lol. We are not that cruel to leave you with only a small piece of cake..lol.

So once again..partyin @ the mini playground park..eating cake,chilling and giving of official bdae prezzies..since its officially 25 June.

while in the midst of opening the bdae gift..Px cam across Mr Mice..whom drop by to wish her too..and she practically climb over the seat with her prezzie...with Lee Kheng watching her in zzzzzzz......

Continue on the opening of prezzies ceremony...seem that Px is very happy,touched,shocked,suprised by all the gift that she gotten fer the day :)

Overrall,it was a blast and im very happy that everything went well as i planned. :)

And i know..the bdae girl reali enjoyed herself though she is very sleepy from post-nite.. hehe.

Nevertheless.. a well deserved celebration fer her. :)

Germany match was on..however i cant see it coz the place is jammed pack with ppl after work...and which after that,spent the nite with her till the very next day...and dang,England match was boring..draw again!

Done with my four straight nite..pretty tiring,but full of suprises,fun,tons of foods and some hiccups here and then. Pure fun coz i had some several kakis on my this round of nite..so everyday of my nite ended with a blast..haha

1st nite - Breakfast session @ Mac with Px,Kas,Munirah,Letchumy and Zarifah..headed down to Chinatown mac..and started our gossip session. Seriously,i was realii gagged when Muni start telling us the story of the old man,a woman and green sputum thinggy..which i read it before @ Px's blog.. oh gawd its simply darm eeewwwwwww hearing it live with full stomach! i myself turned green....

2nd nite - Break time wid Squidy at 52B..and went fer a mini pit stop @ NICU..soo long never step in there and keep hearing all the beeping sound of monitor & ventilator..gosh i miss that place! Catch up with sum old mates there before gotta run back.Was raining darm heavily the next morning,so went breakfast @ Mac (again!) with Squidy & Sharmila,Rasedah,Sonia..another round of catching up with them...

3rd nite - Headed home coz super tired..and again it rain heavily. And this was the very day where Orchard got flooded! The starbucks that we spent playing play doh previously,got submerged in water...sheesh.

Post nite? haha, i did another 24hrs of non-sleeping stunt. Met up with Px the day before,to hunt fer June's bdae gift before heading to work..and the next morning,breakfast with her and Linda @ Hougang. Rite after meeting Squidy at her crib,both myself and Px went gallavating with our cameras to check out the Cats Photos exhibition at eth Arts House..and the photos were sooo great. Gotta shoot more.. After hours and hours of playing around,pit stop @ Ben Jerry where Px catch up with her sleep...just before meeting the the Psy gang @ 3 Monkeys in Holland Village fer dinner to celebrate June's bdae!

And super dang...South Korea lost to Argentina. Well,i dun care...i have been rooting fer South Korea since 2002,so i aint gonna lose my faith to them.

And after 33 hours since i woke up, i finally hit the sack. so much fer Insomnia..

Came back from PC Show..its a bit sucky..nevertheless,px got her cam!! and me,gotta wait fer it.

Involved a lot of research,thinking and goin around Spore to hunt fer that perfect cammy...

In the end,the duo (meaning 2 of us) got Panasonic Lumix... ok im not that excited fer now till i see and touch my product. As fer dear Px..i guess she's jumping fer joy!! And im also jumpin fer joy seeing her got her perfect McLumix....im sure Mclumix will serve her very well indeed. Coz that baby is such a perfecto........

Thruout the process of finding Mclumixxies,we bumped into one of my ex ED pt...and was rather suprised that the mom stopped us and greeted me..and say,i look very diff. Haha,well all of us look diff in ward and outside isnt it? Kinda cool to see them after soo long...and while we walked to a diff town,again,i saw another ex ED pt of mine... ok was today sum sort of reunion fer me and my pt??? LOL...

And i bumped into Yuting @ Pc show! wakakaka...as sum promoter..was laughing like hell to see her..should disturb her one of tis days...

Now at home...im having World Cup fever,and depressing mode. Tot i should be happy coz i got my dose of happy pill today but still y depress??

coz i cant watch my South Korea match against Greece! Went to Mac earlier on my way back to catch the match,however,its super full and im tired standing...furthermore,im standing next to this Korean families..and its funny how they and myself kept saying aisssshhhhhhhh and aigooooo each time Korean players miss the net and they looked at me in suprise whenever i said that...i just simply smiled and excuse myself out..

So i cant watch the whole match. Px told me South Korea won (yipeee!!!) 2-0. And Park Ji Sung scored! And i cant watch it!!!! And England match tonite,also cant watch....

Tis is y im reallly depressssss..... im off yet i cant watch any match. NOw im really restlesss....

and im thinking of the weird,creepy magic bus that Px said to me earlier on...

ok here is a cameo of how Px's new Mclumix look like.. FZ35. We battle this out with few other models..and its a tuff fight indeed. And surveying cams gave me the chance to learn more new stuff i need to know abt cams...

Still depressing mode...out of sudden,now i smelled MJ's perfume scent in my own house.

June...oh june... this year's June is gonna be darm jam-packed with so many bdaes....its the next battle month coming rite after the official bdae month of November!

so..the 1st June baby to start the ball rolling.. Nuridah's 26th Bdae Bash!

Several of us from 46A ,got together to plan an oh-so suprised party @ Goldkist chalet last Friday. Met up with Px,Lee Kheng and Kas in the eve..ended up with several mosquitoes bites while waiting fer them to come. And once we are there,practically all of us into the cleaning mode as the chalet was quite...dirty and oily?? All of us get down and dirty..cleaning here and there,scrubbing here and there..till sweat like hell!

Myself and Kas after our errands...

Px,Kas and myself went to rent some bikes..and both Kas and myself went fer a short ride to do some errands..and its quite a long journey. We even stop awhile to get some sugarcane juice to quench our thirst...heehee.

Once after errands,quickly decor the whola place before June arrived with the Bdae Girl and her sister..she got herself being blindfolded and tied all the way from her place,..and June practically told her she's at Cemetary..lol

Got the bunny accessories for her to wear...

Best thing,after reaching the chalet,she was ushered up to the room where we played all sorts of pranks on her with her blindfolds on..and she haf no idea who are the ppl playing pranks on her..haha

awhile later,the blindfold got off..and there she goes..shrieking and screaming in suprised looking at us..

The rest of the nite spent cam-whoring,opening of prezzies,chit chatting,playing bubbles and fire sparklers...till its time fer Px and myself to head home...

While heading home..both Px and myself kena stopped by the police patrol..and the irony was that before we got stop,we both were jokingly saying,wondering will the police stop us asking fer our id etc etc..and it came true...and its my first ever! And the police officers look way younger than me...haiz they must be tinking that we are 2 lil sec school students gallavanting at nite coz after knowing our age,he replied,"sori we are looking out for youth"...that got me laughing yet pretty embarassing....

So one bdae down..4 more to go baby.

And im now rushing,finding ideas..completing my project soon..just in time for...

oops. i cant say it now!
